Two much awaited Telugu films, Waltair Veerayya (starring Chiranjeevi) and Veera Simha Reddy (starring Balakrishna), are releasing in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh simultaneously with Vijay’s flick. The Telugu Film Producers Council believes that since Dil Raju is supporting Vijay’s movie and guaranteeing a wide release in Telugu states, it may have an impact on original Telugu films’ ability to get a good number of screens.

PLOT
Rajendran Palanisamy, a renowned millionaire entrepreneur, disowned and banished his youngest son Vijay for refusing to join the family business and instead starting a food delivery firm. Rajendran receives a stage IV pancreatic cancer diagnosis seven years later, with only eight to ten months to live. Before he passes away, he makes the decision to disclose his fatal illness and name one of his two older sons, Jai or Ajay, as his heir.
In light of this, Rajendran has big plans to commemorate his 65th birthday and will make the announcements regarding both subjects following the festivities. At Vijay’s request, his mother Sudha—who still regards him as her son—invites him. When Vijay gets there, his house is in a mess. While ignoring his pampered daughter Ria, Jai is having an adulterous affair with Smita and cheating on his wife Aarthi. When Ajay owes financier Mukesh more than ₹550 crore (US$69 million), he is in a financial trap. When Ajay was unable to pay Mukesh back, he threatened to reveal the company’s trade secrets to Jayaprakash “JP,” his father’s competitor in the business world. The two older brothers try to undermine one another in order to succeed their father by not speaking to one another.
Aarthi’s younger sister Divya, who has been crushing on Vijay since they first met at her sister’s wedding, also meets Vijay in the interim. The two fell in love with one another after a few encounters. The entire family is destroyed when JP exposes Jai and Ajay’s deceit through Smita and Mukesh during Rajendran’s birthday celebration. When Aarthi learns of Jai’s romance with Smitha, she decides to seek for divorce, while Rajendran loses a business opportunity to JP as a result of Ajay’s betrayal. When Rajendran realizes that his older sons are not capable of running his business empire, he approaches Vijay, who at first declines but then accepts to take over after learning of Rajendran’s illness.
Envious and dismayed, Jai and Ajay flee the house and team up with JP and Mukesh to remove Vijay from his chairmanship; nevertheless, Vijay overcomes their obstacles and takes care of the family business with style. Jai comes to terms with his errors and makes amends with Vijay, Aarthi, and the rest of the family after Vijay saves Ria from a human trafficking ring. Then, Vijay and Jai work together to make Ajay understand his errors and prevent him from selling JP the company’s shares. Now that the family is back again, Rajendran and Sudha are quite happy as they eat a large supper together. Following Rajendran’s passing, the three brothers jointly conduct his funeral and distribute his ashes throughout Varanasi.
